A Course in Miracles Work Camp in Andalusia

Schedule:

On the day of arrival, we will meet in the evening to get to know each other and have dinner together.

The following days begin with reading the daily lesson and a period of silence. Then we wake up our energy with gymnastics.

On the first day after arrival, we take it easy. From the morning of the second day after arrival, we work for 2 x 1.5 hours, interrupted by a breakfast break. In the afternoon or evening, we take time for one or two 1.5-hour group sessions with reading and discussing the course, constellations and work in small groups.

There is also time for hikes, excursions (e.g. to the river or the sea) or whatever else the leadership offers us.

The work camp gives us the opportunity to find a healing way of interacting with each other in the awareness of forgiveness. We address issues that arise in the group dynamics during the group sessions.

We do not tolerate alcohol or illegal drugs during the work camps and retreats.

The location:

The Casa Rural El Alambique self-catering holiday apartments with pool are located in the province of Málaga in the mountains, about 40 minutes south of Ronda. The property is situated at 700 metres on the eastern slope and has a large garden with fruit trees. It is bordered by a stream that forms a waterfall at the lower end of the property, but does not always carry water. In the surrounding area, you can go hiking through cork oak forests and along rivers, among other things. The area has a lot of water by Andalusian standards. The sea is about 50 minutes away by car.

The climate:

In summer, it gets hot during the day. Pleasant, mild summer temperatures are common in the months of March to May and September to October. It can get quite cool, especially in January and February. When the sun is shining, it always feels warm. When it is overcast, it can be quite chilly. In winter, temperatures cool down to 10-11 degrees during the day, and it can be below freezing at night. The houses have wood-burning stoves for heating.

However, in recent years, the weather has not been consistent with previous experience. This year, March and April were surprisingly cool and rainy, while November and December were pleasantly warm with temperatures reaching 25°C during the day.

Participation fees:

As participants support the project through their work, I am offering the programme free of charge.

Meals:

We will shop together and divide the costs among everyone. We will coordinate among ourselves to prepare the meals.

Accommodation costs:

The holiday apartments have a total of 9 single beds, 6 of which are in the mill in a shared room, and 5 double beds. A single bed in a shared room costs 20 CHF/night, a room with a double bed costs 70 CHF/night and a niche behind a curtain with a double bed and a single bed costs 70 CHF/night. There are two separate apartments, both with a bathroom with shower and a living room with kitchenette.

⁃ Apartment 3 has only one bedroom with a double bed (80 CHF/night for the entire apartment).

⁃ Apartment 2 has two separate rooms, one with a double bed (70 CHF/night) and a small room with two single beds (60 CHF/night).

We are currently busy building a roof terrace as a seminar room. The flooring is already finished. The railing is still missing. There are several other terraces with tables and chairs. The property has a large garden with fruit trees. It is bordered by a stream which, when it carries water, forms a waterfall at the lower end of the property. There are hiking trails in the surrounding area, including along rivers. The area has a lot of water by Andalusian standards and there are many cork oak forests. The sea is about an hour's drive away.
